October 2 saw more than a 100,000 protesters demonstrating across Great Britain over the cost of living. The rallies were organized by the “Enough is Enough” campaign and were held in over 50 towns and cities, including London, Glasgow, Brighton, Manchester, and Liverpool.
The strike coincided with the railway and postal workers’ strike over pay and working conditions. The rally also coincided with the Conservative Party congress and the announcement that the government will withdraw its tax-cut plan.
