According to official data, the upward trend in producer prices has weakened in Germany. The Federal Statistical Office reported yesterday that in October, producer prices rose by only 34.5% year-on-year, down from September’s level of 45.8%. However, the good news was not shared by consumers. They saw no relief, as consumer price inflation rose from 10.0% in September to 10.4% in October.
