On Sunday, Die Welt reported that Rolf Mützenich, leader of the SPD party in Germany, complained about being put on a Ukrainian “terrorist list” (as he described it) for advocating a ceasefire.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry retorted that the “The Ukrainian government does not keep a terror list.” Disgraced former Ukrainian ambassador to Germany Andrij Melnyk tweeted (in machine translation from German), “There is no ‘terrorist list’ of the Ukranian government. Stop portraying yourself as an ‘innocent victim.’”
Mützenich maintains his call for diplomatic efforts to end the conflict. “Most wars did not end on the battlefield,” said the politician.
The CCD’s list, originally published in July, was removed later in the summer. An updated version was republished in early October, only to be removed again over the weekend.
