A Washington Post front-page article reports that the White House is asking Ukrainian officials to publicly exhibit a willingness to engage in negotiations with Russia.
But the reason for this seeming change in policy is not actually to allow Ukraine to come to the negotiating table, but to shore up support among those nations foolishly continuing to support the hostilities.
