UN General Assembly Again Votes Overwhelmingly Against Cuba Blockade

For the 30th straight year, the United Nations General Assembly has voted up a resolution demanding an end to the U.S. economic embargo of Cuba.

In this year’s 185-2-2 vote, only Israel voted with the United States in opposing the resolution, while Ukraine and Brazil abstained.

Will the U.S. heed the vote of “the international community"? Is a nearly unanimous UN resolution part of the “rules” of the “rules-based order"?
