Germany’s Federal Network Agency has called on people in the country to save more gas than they currently do. “Currently, overall savings are only 13%,” the agency’s president, Klaus Müller, told the Tagesspiegel newspaper. However, the Agency believes savings of 20% are necessary.
Right now, Müller said, gas storage facilities are better filled than ever, with a fill level of 95%. In addition, Germany is much better prepared than in the summer, he said. “We are now getting gas from various sources, we will soon have three terminals for liquefied gas, from Norway and Holland, we are well-supplied via Belgium, and also via France,” Müller said.
