Gyorgy Bacsa, the managing director of Hungary’s oil and gas group MOL, announced Dec. 6 that “panic-buying has started causing shortages” of gasoline and other energy-related products. Bacsa said that “the total capacity of MOL is not enough to meet the needs of the Hungarian market,” adding that about 30% more fuel needs to be imported.
