Kremlin Asserts Russia Will ‘Not Accept’ Price Cap on Its Oil Exports

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, speaking with reporters today, said of the oil price cap: “We are analyzing it now. Some preparation has been made.” He was addressing the $60 a barrel price cap on seaborne oil from Russia, decreed by the EU, the G7 and Australia. He said, “We will not accept this cap, and we will inform you … after the analysis, which will be carried out quickly.”
