Sam Bankman-Fried was arrested yesterday in the Bahamas, and is expected to be extradited to the U.S. CNBC reports that charges against him include wire fraud, wire fraud conspiracy, securities fraud, securities fraud conspiracy, and money laundering. The SEC has filed a separate set of charges against him, filing a civil complaint this morning, claiming that he engaged in a scheme to “defraud equity investors in FTX.” It’s unclear how long the extradition process will take. He has been denied bail and remains in custody.
