RT reports on one of the amendments to the omnibus spending bill which allows the U.S. to seize American assets of Russian individuals, and give them instead to Ukraine. The amendment was proposed by Sen. Lindsey Graham and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse. It was approved unanimously for inclusion in the omnibus spending bill, and then went on to be passed by the Senate this week. It will next go to the House where it is expected to be passed. Graham tweeted after the vote that he considers the amendment a “win-win for the people of Ukraine and the American taxpayer,” and that he expects billions of dollars will be sent to Ukraine because of it.
