U.S. industrial production has fallen in both October and November according to the Federal Reserve, by 0.1% in October and 0.2% in November; industrial production has fallen in four of the past six months, as has manufacturing, which fell 0.4% in October and 0.6% in November. Mining (primarily oil, coal and gas) output fell by 0.7% in November. Capacity utilization fell in all these sectors.
