U.S. Not Prepared To Declare Russia State Sponsor of Terrorism

CNN’s Jake Tapper took the opportunity to interview Secretary of State Tony Blinken as to why the Biden Administration is not prepared to declare Russia a “state sponsor of terrorism” as a result of its bombing of Ukrainian power plants and the electricity grid, which, Tapper noted, even that discombobulated lame duck Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has been arguing for. Blinken said such a designation had consequences, whose effects you could not predict, but that he would be talking with his compatriots in Congress with regard to measures to take against Russia.
