The German economics daily Handelsblatt reported yesterday that German officials were in discussions about how Germany could participate in an alliance of European users of Leopard 2 main battle tanks that would provide them to the Kiev regime. The debate was reportedly triggered by Poland, Finland and Spain, that want to hand over the tank from their own stocks to Kiev. One of the options Berlin is said to be considering is providing Ukraine with the Leopards, which were originally intended for Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Aside from Germany, Poland and Finland, the Kiev regime is also asking Canada to join the Leopard 2 tank parade. Mykhailo Podolyak, a top adviser to Zelenskyy, told Toronto’s Globe and Mail that Zelenskyy will make the request to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau when the bureaucratic hurdle with Berlin is cleared.
