Prodi: Crisis Is More Dangerous than Cuban Missile Crisis. We're Missing JFK's Wisdom

Former Italian Prime Minister and ex-president of the European Commission Romano Prodi stated today: “We are currently living through a difficult period, even more dramatic than the one we lived through during the period of tension around Cuba, because there was a kind of balance back then, and let us not forget about the wisdom of the US president [John F. Kennedy], who said that the United States was not seeking to convert anyone to anything but some rules were needed so that different realities could co-exist. Now, the conflict is exposing these differences again, the polarization of the world is growing.”

Prodi’s timely message, as reported by the ANSA news agency, was given at a memorial for the former European Parliament President, David Sassoli. TASS noted that current European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen was present.
