Rep. Comer Scores Ukraine as an ‘Adversary’ of the United States

Kentucky Congressman James Comer (R-KY), in an interview with Fox TV’s Sean Hannity, spoke about the forthcoming House investigations as part of the deal electing Rep. Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House, looking into the nefarious activities of Hunter Biden, and the involvement of President Biden in his business dealings. Comer remarked that Hunter Biden was involved in assisting “adversaries” of the United States, like Russia, China and Ukraine. The inclusion of Ukraine in this listing was immediately picked up in Newsweek coverage.

In earlier comments to Newsmax’s John Bachman, Comer complained that there was “no transparency” about how aid to Ukraine was being used, and expressed “concern” about the tide of war. “Putin is not good,” he said, but “we have a lot of concerns about Ukraine too.” He said he didn’t believe the Ukrainian government “can honestly think that Republicans are going to continue giving them a blank check like the Biden Administration is.”
