British MP Declares War on Russia

The head of the U.K. Defense Select Committee of the House of Commons, Tobias Ellwood, stated on Jan. 30: “We are now at war in Europe; we need to move to a war footing. We are involved in that, we have mobilized our procurement processes, we are gifting equipment [to Ukraine]. We need to face Russia directly rather than leaving Ukraine to do all the work.” The senior Conservative MP, who is well known for his hawkish views, made these remarks in an interview with U.K. broadcaster Sky News.
