American politics is changing, and the LaRouche movement is at the center of it.
On his Fox News “Jesse Watters Primetime” show Feb. 23, host Jesse Watters prominently featured José Vega as speaking for “a lot of people on the right and the left” when he demanded House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (NY) the answer about and investigate for himself Seymour Hersh’s “bombshell” report that Biden ordered the Nord Stream pipelines be blown up. Watters never identified Vega as a LaRouche organizer, but that truth is already well known.
Watters began this eight-minute-plus segment with the statement that “when sworn rivals agree on something, it’s a good time to listen to what they have to say…. Lately, we’ve seen something cut through the partisan fog, making people on the right and the left see eye-to-eye: the war in Ukraine. On both sides of the aisle, you have an anti-war movement bubbling under the surface.”
For the GOP side, he showed quick clips of three Republicans demanding President Biden’s “blank check” to fund the war be stopped.
Then came the meat of the segment: the report that leftist anti-war protesters “have been shaming their own party.” First proof offered: a one-minute clip of the famous intervention by Kynan Thistlethwaite and José Vega at AOC’s town meeting. Second proof: an unknown protester (later claimed as being with CODEPINK) ambushing President Biden about peace in Ukraine as he ate dinner in a Washington restaurant on Feb. 18. And then the centerpiece: Representative Jeffries being “slammed against the boards by his own people, New York leftists” (Watters’ words) who want to know what Jeffries was going to do about “the bombshell report” that Biden secretly ordered the Russian-German gas pipeline to be blown up, after having Navy divers place the explosives three months earlier during NATO’s BALTOPS exercises. Watters then proceeded to play the entire, clip of Vega’s intervention—right to the end of his being dragged out by security.
“Whoa,” Watters commented dramatically, at its conclusion. “Legitimate questions …. don’t just drag one of your voters out of the room and move on. That protester speaks for a lot of people on the right and the left. No one knows how long the war is going to last.” Russia’s a big country, and will pump hundreds of thousands of soldiers onto the frontline, as has been their strategy for every war they have ever fought in their history. And Ukraine will keep fighting — with our weapons, he said.
“So, do American politicians even care what we think? And how is this going to play in the upcoming elections?” Watters demanded.
At two points during his couple-minute discussion with Kellyanne Conway that followed, Watters replayed first a brief clip from Vega’s Jeffries intervention, and then one from Thistlethwaite’s AOC intervention, both focused on the heart of the danger: thermonuclear war.
