A spirited rally took place today in city center Copenhagen, on the theme, “Stop NATO’s War Against Russia” with many speakers, placards and with leafleting focused on the message: to start peace talks and stop the Ukraine war. The demonstration began at 2 pm at the Parliament, from which demonstrators walked to City Hall, where the rally took place. There were some 150 participants, intersecting crowds as they went by in the famous Raadhuspladsen, near the landmark Palace Hotel.
Among the speakers were Tom Gillesberg, representing the Schiller Institute, which had organized the event, in collaboration with the Welfare Party. Another powerful speaker was Mr. Mrutyuanai Mishra, from India, who also helped mobilize for the rally.
Former MP Marie Krarup spoke strongly against continuing the weapons to Ukraine. She is well known as the leading voice among current and former lawmakers in Denmark, with the guts to speak out against the NATO insanity. In an interview that Krarup gave to Feride Gillesberg, and provided to EIR News Service, Krarup was asked what greeting she would send to those demonstrating for peace in the United States and elsewhere. Krarup replied: “I would very much like to say to everyone, to try to stop the politicians from sending weapons to Ukraine. This is necessary to start the negotiations as soon as possible, and that is only possible if we stop sending weapons. So that is my message to the Danish population, and to the population in other NATO countries: Stop sending the weapons.”
