RT reported on Feb. 25 that Zelenskyy gave a speech on Feb. 24 to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Russia’s military operation against Ukraine, calling 2023, “The Year of Invincibility.” Afterwards, he held a press conference, in which he asserted that should the U.S. stop sending support to Ukraine’s war effort, that the U.S. would “lose the leadership position they are enjoying in the world.”
After bootlicking his supporters, “The Congress, the president, the TV channels, the journalists, and everyone that has been supporting us,” Zelenskyy turned his venom on those who oppose continued support for Ukraine, saying: “If they do not change their opinion … they will lose NATO, they will lose the clout of the United States, they will lose the leadership position they are enjoying in the world.”
RT continued, “ ‘The U.S. is never going to give up on a NATO member state,’ Zelenskyy declared, insisting that should Ukraine fall because of flagging support from Washington, Russia would “ ‘enter the Baltic states, NATO member states, and then the U.S. will have to send their sons and daughters exactly the way as we are sending their [sic] sons and daughters to war.’
