Sputnik International reports on the flow of arms from Europe to Africa, fed by NATO weapons sent initially into Ukraine. According to Abou Bakr Abdel Salam, a political analyst from Chad, terrorist groups and rebel movements were mainly responsible for the flow. According to the Chadian expert, the Chad-Nigeria-Lake Chad delta region has become an open market for the arms trade from Europe, which come mainly from Ukraine via European countries. He also identified the Maghreb countries as a transshipment point. Algeria, which is said to be a center for the trade, has seen the sale of illegal arms as well.
