French General Backs Hersh on Nord Stream Explosions, Warns of Coverup

French Gen. Dominique Trinquand (ret.), who formerly headed the French military mission to the UN, told the French LCI TV channel that the West could be covering up the Nord Stream explosion, and also fully backed Seymour Hersh’s coverage of the sabotage of the Russia-Germany gas pipelines in September 2022.

“We do not have complete information in hand. I am impressed that there are German, Swedish and Danish investigations, with plenty of data already gathered within their framework. Nevertheless, there are no conclusions. If they are not present, then probably there are conclusions in place they do not want to make public,” Trinquand said, reported TASS.

“The question should be asked, who benefitted from this crime? The fact that the gas pipeline belongs to a Russian company shows a priori that Russia would not benefit from the explosion,” Trinquand said. He remarked on “the high quality and detailed” investigation by U.S. journalist Seymour Hersh, who had laid the blame on the U.S. administration for organizing these explosions. “I believe the version presented is absolutely trustworthy,” Trinquand noted. “This is not merely reliable but also checked—everyone can do this at present,” the General stated, pointing to the opportunity for tracking aircraft and marine vessels.

The General said, had the investigators had found a Russian connection to the sabotage, they would certainly have made it public. “They would have found evidence that Russians did it. Whereas they cannot prove it, there is a need to search in a different direction,” he said.
