Over a Million in France's Streets Against Macron's Slashing of Pensions

More than a million demonstrators, as estimated by police, protested today in France against President Emmanuel Macron’s slashing of pensions and his proceeding without a vote in the legislature. Strikes interrupted public transportation, oil refineries, schools and other institutions and services. Tear gas and water cannons were part of the instruments used by police, confronting the demonstrators.
