The “Free Nations of Post-Russia Forum” (FNPF) has announced that they are bringing their act to the United States in late April, for April 25-26, of lobbying in Washington, followed by events in Philadelphia and New York City. The affair is entitled, for silly Westerners: “Peaceful & Non-Violent Decolonization, Reconstruction and Territorial Organization on the Post-Russian Space.”
The FNPF has the notorious, pro-violence Ilya Ponomarev at its head. At their founding event, May 8-9, 2022, in Warsaw, they explicitly distinguished themselves from the pre-existing (2016) and ongoing “Free Russia Forum” (FRF) of Garry Kasparov et al., criticizing the FRF as too stodgy, not aggressive enough. Shortly afterwards, Ponomarev deployed himself to the next FRF event, challenging them to support underground violent sabotage inside Russia.
On Aug. 20-21, 2022, in the first 36 hours after the assassination of Darya Dugina, Ponomarev pronounced himself the public spokesman for those behind the assassination. He read a statement from a previously unknown group, identifying themselves as the “National Republican Army,” which claimed credit for the murder—her car was blown up as she was driving in Moscow. Of course, he described himself as merely a supporter who was trusted by the group, but that he was not a member.
But in his own name, he called Dugina’s murder a “new page in Russian resistance to Putinism. New—but not the last.” Six weeks later, on Oct. 4, 2022, his book was released, entitled Does Putin Have To Die? The Story of How Russia Becomes a Democracy after Losing to Ukraine.
Now Americans get to get up close and personal with these self-advertised “peaceful and nonviolent” folks, who will explain how to take over Russia with no risk of violence.
