Putin: Cover Stories on Nord Stream Sabotage Are "Complete Nonsense." It's a State Actor

Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed as “nonsense” the recent chatter about ‘six people on a yacht’ blowing up the Nord Stream pipelines, and that the unknown suspects might be “pro-Ukrainian activists.” He told reporters, while touring a Russian aircraft manufacturing plant in Ulan-Ude: “I’m sure this is complete nonsense. An explosion of this kind – of such power, at such depth, can only be carried out by specialists, and supported by the entire power of a state, possessing certain technologies.”

Otherwise, he repeated what he has claimed all along about a state act of terrorism: “It is not a secret anymore for anyone that this was the terrorist act. In my opinion, everybody recognized that already. The terrorist act, absolutely obviously, was committed at the state level because no amateurs are able to commit such actions.”
