Samantha Power Brags About USAID ‘Pre-Bunking; in Europe

The second Summit for Democracy, co-hosted by the United States, the Netherlands, South Korea, Costa Rica and Zambia, will be an online event over March 29-30. Its pre-Summit feeder events, called “road map” discussions, have been outstandingly consistent with unwashed “rules based order” imperialism.

The State Department brags that 100 nations will participate in the Summit, but it is shaping up to be a zombie jamboree.

A lead figure of the Summit for Democracy drive is USAID Administrator Samantha Power. On Feb. 16, 2023, she wrote an article in the March/April issue of Foreign Affairs Power’s article is headlined, “How Democracy Can Win,” with the kicker, “The Right Way to Counter Autocracy.”

She gloats on how the alleged autocracies of Russia and China are failing. “They stand on their back foot.” She takes credit, bragging: “The U.S. Agency for International Development, the institutions I lead and the largest provider of democracy assistance in the world, has had ‘clear and consistent impacts’ on civil society, judicial and electoral processes, media independence, and overall democratization, according to one study….”
