Italy’s Lega Senator Promises Support for Glass-Steagall

Lega Senator Claudio Borghi said his party will endorse the Glass- Steagall bill introduced by Tommaso Foti and 14 other Parliament members from the governing party FdI (DL 1016 in the Chamber of Deputies). “Usually, filing draft bills which have not been agreed upon in advance is not the best way for them to be successful, but despite that I will certainly support the proposal, a historical programmatic point of the Lega, which has already presented analogous proposals on the basis of Glass-Steagall,” Borghi tweeted on March 29.
