The entire process against Trump in New York is so transparently not a judicial proceeding, but a political hit job, that there has been an outpouring of support for Trump even from his opponents in the Republican Party. Some analysts believe that the indictment is going to backfire so badly, that it is not only going to guarantee Trump the nomination, but the election as well. Others, however, think that this is just the opening salvo in what could be a string of a half-dozen or more additional indictments and accusations against Trump, that will follow in short order—throwing the proverbial crap against the wall to see if something will stick.
