The ‘Break Apart Russia at All Costs’ Crowd: Don't Wimp Out on Seizing Crimea

As the “break Russia into pieces” crowd from the Free Nations of Post-Russia Forum (FNPF) gather to converge on Capitol Hill this coming week, shrill voices are weighing in, demanding that the West must not falter, but push for full-scale confrontation with Russia.

Ben Hodges’s April 21 article in the London’s Telegraph, entitled “Ukraine Can Retake Crimea Within Months, If We Let It,” has the subhead: “There is no need for a diplomatic solution. Russia’s war could soon be brought to a humiliating end.” (https://archive.ph/B2IIV). The FNPF’s Janusz Bugajski, author of Failed State: A Guide to Russia’s Rupture, from his post at the Jamestown Foundation, tweeted a link to Hodges’ article yesterday, with his assurance that Hodges wasn’t crazy: “General Ben on target as always!”
