The United Kingdom, joined by the United States, blocked the transmission of the testimony at the UN Security Council of Russia’s Commissioner for Children’s Right Maria Lvova-Belova. There’s no wonder that they can’t have their reckless lies exposed.
Of the more than 5 million refugees that Russia has taken in over the last year, there have been around 700,000 children. All have come with their parents, relatives, or legal guardians, except for 2,000 who were in orphanages in the Donbas subject to Ukrainian artillery. Now that Russia has established control and stability over major areas of the Donbas, about 1,300 of them have been returned to their Donbas orphanages, while another 400 or so are in orphanages in other parts of Russia. Then there are 358 orphans that are in foster homes.
