Trump Lawfare: Although Bragg's Indictment Has Fallen Flat, There Is Much More To Come

The pathetic release by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg of a 34-count indictment of Donald Trump, acknowledged by Washington Post associate editor Ruth Marcus, to have been “unnervingly flimsy at worst,” is only the opening salvo in a new round of legal attacks on Trump.

Special Counsel Jack Smith, who is leading up investigations into “whether any person or entity unlawfully interfered with the transfer of power following the 2020 presidential election” and the issue of classified documents and presidential records, continues to move forward to building up an indictment against the former President.

Smith has subpoenaed numerous members of Trump’s inner circle, including his former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and White House lawyer Evan Corcoran. And Mike Pence will reportedly testify before a grand jury on the Trump issue.
