Ukraine’s Melnik: US Is About 85% Short in Military Supplies Needed

Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Melnik, noted as an open admirer of Nazi collaborator Stepan Bandera, tweeted yesterday: “We call upon our partners to cross all artificial ‘red lines’ and devote 1% of GDP for weapons deliveries.” The US, e.g., has provided, in arms alone, over $35 billion in the last fourteen months. Melnik’s standard says that it should have been around $265 billion, a shortfall of about 85%.

Melnik left little doubt what a massive increase in arms would begin to cover. In a separate tweet yesterday, he singled out for ridicule German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius for keeping Tornado and Eurofighter jets away from Ukraine. Nuclear showdown anyone?
