US To Send Another Package of Munitions to Ukraine

The Biden Administration announced its 36th military assistance package for Ukraine yesterday, this one worth $325 million. “This security assistance package includes more ammunition for U.S.-provided HIMARS and artillery rounds, as well as anti-armor systems, small arms, logistics support vehicles, and maintenance support essential to strengthening Ukraine’s defenders on the battlefield,” the State Department said in its announcement.

Munitions are not enough for the Kiev regime, however. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday night (April 18) that he had “raised the issue” of F-16 fighter jets during a recent call with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), “another sign that Kyiv is amping up the pressure to secure modern warplanes from the U.S. and Western allies,” reported The Hill. In his nightly TV speech, Zelensky said he had briefed the U.S. lawmaker on “what is happening now at the front, on our defense needs and capabilities” in Ukraine, which he said include both F-16s and long-range artillery.
