Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that consumer price inflation in Russia in May slowed to a rate of 2.3%, down from 3.51% in March and 11% in February, but also the lowest in all Europe. Switzerland came in second place, with a 2.6% inflation rate in April.
Mishustin also announced that Russia’s unemployment rate had dropped to a record low of 3.5%. He also reported that the government has launched major projects to modernize infrastructure in the country’s interior, which is helping local businesses.
