Anton Gerashchenko (alternate spelling: Herashchenko) — the neo-Nazi advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine tied to the Myrotvorets kill list operation since he helped found it in 2014 — has set out to stop any and all May 9 “Immortal Regiment” marches which may be planned outside of Russia – one way or the other. For years, Russians everywhere have celebrated the defeat of the Hitler regime and the end of World War II by honoring all those who died in the course of that great fight to save humanity from fascism in great “Immortal Regiment” marches on Victory Day.
These “must not happen,” Gerashchenko tweeted today: “Russians are now obtaining permission to hold the Immortal Regiment march in many European cities. This march was always a part of Russian war propaganda and Russian military narrative. It must not happen while Russia wages a bloody war in Ukraine.” Given his well-known ties to Ukrainian hit squads, inside Ukraine and internationally, his message must be read as a threat.
