Ukrainian President Zelenskyy is in London following his visits to Italy, Germany and France. His two-hour meeting with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak landed a new arms deal, on top of the Storm Shadow cruise missiles delivered last week, which have already “succeeded” in killing a number of civilians in Lugansk, a Donbass city which was not reachable until the new British long-range missiles arrived.
The new deal includes hundreds of air defense missiles and armed, long-range drones that can go 200 km. Sunak was quoted saying: “The conflict is at a pivotal moment. The U.K. will remain steadfast in supporting Ukraine and its people to defend itself … it is important for the Kremlin to also know that we are not going away. We are here for the long term.”
