Hunter Biden reached a deal with prosecutors to plead guilty to two tax misdemeanors and to enter a “diversion program” regarding a felony gun charge. Biden did not pay his taxes on time for the 2017 or 2018 tax years (over $100,000 due for each year), although he did eventually catch up. He is expected to receive probation.
“Hunter will take responsibility for two instances of misdemeanor failure to file tax payments when due pursuant to a plea agreement,” said Hunter Biden’s lawyer. “A firearm charge, which will be subject to a pretrial diversion agreement and will not be the subject of the plea agreement, will also be filed by the Government.”
