Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, in an NBC News interview published yesterday, didn’t mind weighing in against a US presidential candidate. It seems that Trump’s earlier comment that he could “have that war settled in one day, 24 hours” bothered Zelensky enough to offer, unasked, his response: “Why didn’t he do that earlier? He was president when the war was going on here.” Here, at least, Zelensky acknowledged that the war started before Feb 24, 2022.”
He added about Trump’s proposal to talk with Putin: “I think he couldn’t do that. I think there are no people today in the world who could just have a word with Putin and end the war.”
