Russia Preparing for Its Annual Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Sept. 10-13

Following its very successful second Russia-Africa Forum and summit in St. Petersburg over July 27-28, Russia is preparing its eighth annual Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), in Vladivostok on Sept. 10-13. Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev told reporters, “Today we do not feel that the interest in the [Vladivostok] Forum is lower than in previous years. We also count on the presence of representatives of dozens of neighboring and non-neighboring countries from all over the world. We will work together.” Last year, the event drew more than 7,000 participants from 68 countries and territories.

Note that the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will hold its Belt and Road Summit Sept. 13-14, co-hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).
