Speaking about the recent EU-China Fair held in Chengdu, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman Wang Wenbin gave a quantitative summary of how trade has grown.
For the first five months of 2023, the EU was China’s second-biggest trading partner. Trade between the two has grown by 3.6% year-on-year.
Over the first six months of the year, the China-Europe Railway Express has shipped 936,000 TEU of cargo and made over 8,641 trips, increases of 30% and 16% year-on-year, respectively.
