Denmark and the Netherlands Are First To Announce Sending F-16s to Ukraine, Sweden Next?

COPENHAGEN, Aug. 20, 2023 (EIRNS)—After U.S. Secretary of State Atony Blinken gave a green light yesterday for the Netherlands and Denmark to send the U.S.-produced F-16s fighter jets to Ukraine, the two countries today became the first to announce that they will indeed send F16s to Ukraine. President Zelenskyy visited both countries today to discuss the details and thank the governments. The Netherlands will send 42 planes, and Denmark 19. Denmark’s 19 planes will be sent on a timeline that fits with Denmark’s F-16s being replaced by F-35 jets, starting at the end of this year.
