Dmitri Medvedev, former President of Russia and deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, has suggested that the West should be happy that the Russian special military operation is succeeding, and illustrated the danger NATO is engaging in by pressing Russia beyond their red lines.
“Our Armed Forces, repelling the counter-offensive of the collective enemy, are protecting Russian citizens and our land,” he said, according to the text of his statement circulating on Telegram. “But beyond that, they are preventing a world conflict. After all, if we imagine that the offensive of the Ukrobanderites with the support of NATO succeeded and they took away part of our land, then we would have to use nuclear weapons by virtue of the rules of the decree of the President of Russia dated 02.06.2020. There will simply be no other way out. Our enemies should pray to our warriors. They do not allow the world nuclear fire to ignite.”
