Natalia Humeniuk, the head of the joint coordination press center of the Defense Forces of Ukraine ‘South,’ announced today, according to Ukraine national news outlet Ukrinform: “The humanitarian situation on the peninsula [Crimea] is quite difficult. There are very significant problems with drinking water and energy supply there, and these problems will spread, because the resistance movement is also working, the partisan movement is working.”
Humeniuk also announced their larger policy for Crimea, that “all targets located in the temporarily occupied peninsula and capable of supplying the Black Sea Fleet are legitimate targets for destruction as they are the enemy’s reserves for renewing its combat capability…. Our task now is to ensure that the enemy’s combat capabilities are the lowest possible. And I think we will find out more detailed results later.” The phrase “capable of supplying” the fleet is so broad, surely by design, it is hard to imagine what is not a target for sabotage in Crimea.
