Ukraine’s Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak underlined their “public relations” view of Kiev’s so-called “Peace Formula” initiative. Sounding more like a used car salesman, he posted yesterday on Telegram that the presence of the 43 countries at the August 5-6 Jeddah, Saudi Arabia meeting means that those countries “are with us.” For that matter, he actually claimed 15 more countries, for a total of 58, simply based on his projection of their attendance at a future meeting.
Ukrinform quotes Yermak: “Fifth meeting with representatives of foreign diplomatic missions regarding the implementation of Volodymyr Zelensky’s Peace Formula. Already 58 countries are with us.” While he noted that there were 43 representatives (these are representatives on the level of security advisers) of countries at the previous meeting, he made clear that he was including countries that he hoped would be attending a future meeting. He said: “I will disclose the details later. We are working.”
