In anticipation of the German government decision to send long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine, Die Linke member of Germany’s Parliament, Sahra Wagenknecht, warned against this on her Facebook page.
“The delivery [by the German government] of Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine would be another step toward the uncontrolled escalation of the conflict,” Wagenknecht wrote. She noted that “even the US is not supplying Ukraine with cruise missiles capable of striking targets located at a distance of hundreds of kilometers on Russian territory.” Additionally, in her opinion, the Taurus missiles “won’t help Ukraine win militarily,” but will merely lead to more victims and destruction.
