Joe Lauria of Consortium News, which has championed the Julian Assange case, reports that Australia is sending a parliamentary team to the U.S. on Sept. 20 to lobby Congress and the Administration to drop the case against Assange. “The cross-party delegation will spend two days in the U.S. capital arguing Assange’s case ahead of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s state visit to the White House at the end of October,” Lauria writes.
