At the conclusion of the New Delhi G20 Summit, after Indian Prime Minister Modi handed over the presidency of the G20 to Brazilian President Lula da Silva, who will chair the event in 2024, the Brazilian President made a few sharp remarks at the podium. “We cannot let geopolitical issues sequester the G20 agenda of discussions,” Lula said, in a clear reference to Western attempts to corral everyone into their anti-Russia hysteria. “We have no interest in a divided G20. We need peace and cooperation instead of conflict.”

In an earlier interview with Indian news channel FirstPost, Lula commented on Brazil’s view of the world today and its stance in regard to the war in Ukraine.
