Zelenskyy Descends on Canada, Trudeau Pledges ‘Long-Term Support’

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spent Sept. 22 in Canada, during which time President Justin Trudeau said, “We are shifting our approach to provide multi-year assistance to ensure Ukraine has the predictable support it needs for long term support.” He stopped constantly embracing Zelenskyy long enough to speak at a joint press conference with him. The reported support to date from Canada is US$6.7 million, in all types of aid—military, humanitarian and financial.
