23 Attacks on U.S. Bases in Iraq and Syria in the Past Two Weeks

A senior defense official briefing to reporters at the Pentagon on background yesterday, reported that between Oct. 17 and Oct. 30, there have been a total of 23 attacks on U.S. bases, 14 in Iraq and 9 in Syria. Last week’s U.S. air strikes “were in Syria because it’s not about the location; it’s about Iran and the IRGC who use infrastructure, militants and proxies on the ground across the Middle East, to include both Iraq and Syria,” he explained.
