Argentine President Alberto Fernández will be leaving for China on Oct. 14, flying first to Shanghai for two days and then to Beijing for a meeting with President Xi Jinping and to attend the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation Oct. 17-18. In Shanghai he’ll meet with former Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, now president of the BRICS New Development Bank, with whom he plans to discuss accessing credit lines for Argentina, among other things. Argentina was one of six countries that was asked to join the BRICS at the group’s Aug. 22-24 summit in South Africa.
