The House Oversight Committee this past week began an inquiry into the numerous reports of corruption among the Biden family, including involving President Biden directly. The Thursday, Sept. 28 seven-hour hearing took up repeated cases of the Biden family receiving money by various means, including shell companies, in conjunction with policy decisions favorable to those making the payments. If the claims are true—and there is already extremely strong evidence for some or many—then this is a simple and direct case of selling political influence for monetary gain: bribery. George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley told the Committee that Congress has a “duty to determine if the President is involved in what is a known form of corruption.”
The amounts discussed in the hearing reach into the tens of millions of dollars.
